Aurora Borealis is a rich, shifting blue inspired by the glow of northern skies dancing at night, and by my many years living in Northern Norway. Layers of deep ocean blue, vivid teal, and soft turquoise blend together across the skein, creating beautiful movement and depth. Naturally dyed with indigo and overdyed with weld for added complexity, this colourway captures the feeling of icy fjords, dark winter skies, and the magic of the northern lights.
This beautiful yarn is made from a 50/50 blend of Corriedale and Mohair British yarn, which gives itself a lovely lustre and sheen. Corriedale is a great 'workhorse' yarn balancing softness with durability and mohair is known for its softness, incredible lightweight warmth and its distinctive 'halo' fluffy effect.
Using an innovative blown construction, the alpaca fibres are trapped within a fine knitted cage, creating a lightweight yet durable yarn with a soft halo and beautiful loft. The result is a cosy, cloud-like texture that feels wonderfully gentle against the skin.
50% British Corriedale
50% British Mohair
Each skein is approx 400m per 100g, non-superwash

Please treat your yarn gently and hand wash in cool water using a pH-neutral wool wash. A small amount of colour release during the first wash is completely normal.
For the most even colour distribution, alternating skeins is recommended when working with hand-dyed yarns.
I’m always happy to dye yarn to order, so if you’re looking for a particular colourway or quantity that isn’t currently listed, please feel free to get in touch.
